Dr. Andrade grew up in Hurley, NY. After graduating the Salutatorian from Kingston High School he attended College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA where he double majored in chemistry and mathematics. From there he went to medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.
He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and the traveled to Phoenix, AZ for a Gastroenterology fellowship at Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix, a partner with the University of Arizona. He served as Chief Fellow in his final year, and presented his fellowship research at the ACG Annual Scientific Meeting in 2014 in Philadelphia. During his training, he published articles in the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and the ACG Case Reports Journal.
Dr. Andrade is board certified in gastroenterology and is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. In his spare time he is an avid cyclist, and enjoys playing a number of musical instruments including the guitar, piano, drums and the ukulele.
